1 p.m. | Storytime at the Lighthouse | Cape Henry Lighthouse
Starting March 25th, every Friday will be story time at the Cape Henry Lighthouse. Join us in the picnic area while we explore the swashbuckling seas and the deepest parts of the ocean. The stories featured in Cape Henry Lighthouse Story Time include The Whale by Cynthia Rylant, The Eagle by Cynthia Rylant, The Turtle by Cynthia Rylant and How I Became a Pirate by Melinda Long and David Shannon.

Week after week, all summer long, Block Party goers will be treated to a variety of local and national musical acts spanning all genres, as well as our always quirky signature events such as “The Rolling of the Bulls”, and a few special surprises. Founded in 1996, The Rhythm Project offered Portsmouth youth the opportunity to play and tour in a steel pan drum ensemble through dedication and discipline. Associate Director Paul Munzenrider of the Virginia Arts Festival leads the group who recently  performed for the NPR program From The Top, and has toured George Mason University and New Bern, NC.
